“We have had an amazing group of riders ride with us over the years. It is just as gratifying seeing them progress to meet their dreams as it is any other accomplishment that I may have.”

There are a variety of ways to learn from Al, including private lessons, horse/riders in training and clinics. You can also join Team AD for coaching and critiquing by Al through video mentoring or the accreditation program for professionals and non-pros.

For those who would like the opportunity to work side-by-side with Al, we offer a Working Internship and a Development Program:

WORKING INTERNSHIP

Al’s Working Internship is designed for those seeking a career in horse training. Internships are available seasonally and are 1-3 months long. Interns will work side-by-side with Al and his team, learning about cutting, working cow horse, reining, ranch riding, working young horses and more. As this is a working internship, interns will be expected to perform other duties on the ranch including warming up horses, grooming, assisting with barn duties and additional ranch work. This is an unpaid, work-to-learn internship.

DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

The Development Program was designed for riders who have limited training or showing experience and/or have not worked at a professional facility. Program participants will be introduced to basic horsemanship, cutting, working cow horse, reining, ranch riding and more through Al and his team. In addition, learn what it takes to manage and run a professional training barn. The Development Program fee is $2500/month.
