This is such a beautiful hackamore with an amazing feel, made by the legendary Bill Black with a Douglas Krause Mecate.
Bill Black was raised in Colorado where his father, Jeff Black, and Howard Munsell taught him how to braid.  In 1978, while living in Nevada, Dean Tobias showed him how to work rawhide.  Bill still works rawhide in the same way.

“I worked on the big outfits and kept learning more about rawhide and hackamores, along with the different caliber of horses. Thanks to Bobby Ingersoll and Benny Guitron for sharing their knowledge about the hackamore, and all the other good people who shared their knowledge with me to make me a better braider; because we all learn from each other.”
