This AD mouthpiece is designed to allow you to have adequate pull but still the flexibility to bend. The copper on the bars add to salivation for softening the mouth. This longer shanked bit can be used on an older horse to reinforce the positive direction of the rider. For less movement and a quicker pull, you can add a bit hobble on the lower rings.
